...there was a little girl who grew up in Brooklyn, New York. She dreamed of a world filled with dogs, cats & horses... a world where there was NO pain, no death, & no loss. So she did her best to rescue all the unwanted dogs & cats she could find on the streets of Brooklyn.

Not unlike most city kids she was a child of divorce. Her Dad left when she was just 3 years old. So this young girl found comfort security, love and attention in the Wonderful World of Dogs.
In the process she learned that pets give unconditional love... that their Love is not based on who Mommy or Daddy love at the moment.
In 1978, at the tender age of 12, this little girl was given an AWARD from Perry Cuomo for her fundraising efforts on the behalf of North Shore Animal league. This award was in recognition of the hundreds of dollars she collected, including her own allowance for many months, for all the unwanted dogs & cats needing homes.

All this time she dreamed of running away to a farm in the country where she could have own horse & dogs all running free... where the cement under her feet would be replaced with beautiful green pastures...

As the little girl grew so did her family. By now she had 2 daddies, 1 Mommy, 1 younger sister, 2 new baby brothers, a new baby sister and a many, many relatives.
Her canine family was just as big & special... there was Duke, a huge Collie her Daddy bought her when the show "Lassie" was the only thing the little girl could think of. Together with Duke the little girl would disappear on weekends into the woods of Staten Island, exploring...

Through the years there were others, like Hiedi - a Boston Terrier, Barney - an Old English Sheepdog, and Bingo - a Huge German Shepherd. Others included several Irish Setters, and a Great Dane appropriately named Mountain. Even before she could walk there was a Basset hound named Rheingold... But the dogs that were the most needy were the all-American mutts... Smokey, Snickers...
Most of these loving pets are gone now, waiting for the little girl at the Rainbow Bridge to join them one final time, in Heaven.

Soon the little girl started to grow up. She spent her teenage years volunteering at the North Shore Animal league and local animal hospitals. But in the end she eventually chose a career in Loss Prevention. She also Danced & Wrestled her way to victories many times over.

As she grew older her dreams started to fade. In time the dream of rescuing animals was overshadowed by the dream of simply making it... achieving status, not playing with animals.
The grown up girl still sometimes dreamed of her country home filled with animals, but now as a woman she also wanted a Prince Charming to come and Save her from her ho hum life. Eventually her dreams gave way to more harsh realities, but she still held on, hoping one day her Prince Charming would arrive and take her away.
"Could this dream ever come true?" she wondered. Alas, her dreams drifted farther and farther away, until they were all but a memory.

As the years rolled on, City life became more unbearable, but then one warm beautiful summer day Prince Charming arrived on his gallant steed -- In this case it was an Alfa Romeo, but it would do -- so it was told that the little girl, now all grown up, met and married her Prince Charming. They eloped on horse back and rode off into the sunset, to live happily ever after.
Following behind them was their faithful Dog Nikko, a 1
year old Wolf hybrid the Prince gave the young girl as a wedding gift. Sadly Nikko would soon die a slow crippling death, all due to a bad backyard breeder who did not screen for Hip Dyplasia/Spine problems.
The Prince tried to Save Nikko's life but to no avail. 3 times the Prince promised Nikko would return from the Doctor to once again sleep at the foot of the couples bed. But the third time, despite all the Prince's promises, and all the Money they had, Nikko did not come home. No money in the world can make up for Poorly bred animals
So to ease the young lady's broken heart the Prince adopted a young Puppy who was neglected and abused at 6 weeks of age, his little throat burned with cigarettes.

They called the puppy Snoopy, and his life took a turn for the better when the Prince and the Girl took him home to a beach house in Belle Harbor, NY. This faithful dog is alive and well today, and he has accompanied the young couple on many an adventure since his arrival.
In 1996 the Prince ventured far & wide and found a 50-acre farm on which to raise his family and to fulfill a little girls dream. Today, the grown up girl and the prince, Mr. & Mrs. Vincenzo De Palma, have a beautiful 50 working horse farm filled with many of gods creatures from all walks of life.
The moral of the story is that no matter how distant your dream might be, if you dream hard enough, pray and do good deeds, One day your dream shall come true too.
Since starting FoxFire Farms we have rescued horses from auctions and found them loving permanent homes. In addition we have one of the top sired Arabians in history. Nonchalant, call name Dylan, is a Registered Arabian Stallion whose Grandsire, whose name was *Bask, is one of the Top 5 Arabian Horses in History!
Here you will also find Sting, the 16.3 Quarter Horse,

Snoopy the ever faithful mutt, and many other horses -- Mrs. Phoenix Arizona, Rocket, Beauty, Chrystal and the little fillies & colts that have been born.

Last but not least is the Pride and Joy of Foxfire Farms, Ca/Usa Ch Tasha Warrior Princess, a Champion Central Asian Shepherd (ovcharka).
At FoxFire Farms you find NO kennels, and NO cages,

just tons of green pastures, warm beds and Lots of unlimited love.
We are located in Western New York 20 Minutes from Ontario Canada in the town of Wilson, adjacent to Lake Ontario. Here we are surrounded by thousands of acres of woodland and green pastures filled with creatures such as the Coyote, Deer, Fox, and not too far away, the Black bear.
Coexisting with these beautiful wild creatures is a part of life. We at Foxfire farms do not believe in hunting, trapping or poison bait lines to control predator population. Instead, we use what primitive man once relied on to Protect their Family & Livestock... We use FLOCK GUARDIAN DOGS. Of course the members of our canine family are safeguarded behind rows of fencing, since we love them and don't want to be foolish and lose a Loved one to a speeding car.
But despite the fencing, the large Coyotes come dangerously close to the barn, and needless to say, Tasha a 4 year old Flock Guardian, has had her run ins with the local coyotes. She has proven to be an effective guardian of both the horses, farm and family. We are equally proud of the many Titles she has received in her 3-year show career, where she has proved herself as the TOP CAO in this country.
Below you will find some of our Favorite pictures of our Family. We will be adding more as we rummage through the many hope chests long forgotten in the Attic. We hope you enjoyed our true tale and enjoy our photos, which now includes the 1st CGC Central Asian Shepherd in the USA, Cozemo, Legend of the Falls.
FoxFire Farms -- Where the goal of excellence is achieved each & every day. We feel we owe it to our friends, the dog, to breed happy healthy additions to the familles for all the Little girls of the Future.
Thus, the Little girl, the prince and all their creatures lived happily ever after.
