Your breed of dog never ceases to amaze me! Marcus is not a very licky, affectionate dog. Actually, he doesn't lick anyone-at all. He shows affection with his stare. Anyway, my 1 year old son is always hanging all over him. Well, one day I think Marcus had enough. He decided to start sniffing the baby's head, which the baby didn't like much! So the baby would run away and Marcus would have peace. Well, the next day Marcus started to lick the baby's head-particularly his ears. By the third day, I heard the baby crying only to find Marcus standing right over him slobbering all over his ears. I couldn't figure out why Marcus was doing this. Later that day the baby didn't seem to be acting himself. I decided to take him to the doctor. Lo and behold he had a DOUBLE ear infection! Apparently the only one who picked this up out of the family was Marcus. Since the ear infections clear up, Marcus hasn't gone near the baby's ears or licked him in any way. I was completely amazed by what Marcus had done. The poor kid would've suffered for days had it not been for his mighty protector Marcus!
I guess now I know how to get Marcus to lick me!
